Why sweatshop free?

Why is it so important to be sweatshop free?

Because it’s 2020 & there are no excuses. Fuck Sweatshops.

In yoga, we practice "Ahimsa," or non-violence towards all living things. Which also means that it’s super important to us that no one is taken advantage of in the production of our clothing.

We source our blanks from W.R.A.P certified suppliers. “Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), formerly Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production is a partnership whose stated aim is promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world. It certifies factories according to the "Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production Principles.”

We think it’s hypocritical AF for ANY yoga apparel company to not be sweatshop free. An easy way to tell if something is sweatshop free? The price. If something is selling for cheap, it’s usually because an actual person (or many people!) were not treated or paid fairly in the making of the item you’re putting on your body. You can always check the about section of the company you’re shopping with to see if they mention anything about their production practices or email them & ask.

In addition, we love collaborating with & supporting fellow small businesses. All of our shirts are printed locally at a small print shop in LA. Our leggings & sports bras are made at a small, female owned & operated company in Minneapolis. Our candles are handmade by a small female owned company in Canada. Any time collaborate, it’s because we believe in what our partner is doing & they are in alignment with our core values.

These days, it can be daunting to try to wait for an election year to make a difference, but the truth is, your DOLLAR is your vote. Each time you spend a dollar, it adds power & momentum to whoever you give it to. Double check where you’re sending your $$ & make sure they’re putting your energy to good use <3
